What impacted me the most while in Nicaragua was seeing how all the people were so grateful for what they had, and it reminded me to be more thankful for what God has given us back home. The kids were so willing to engage and interact with us no matter the activity and they were excited to see us everyday! I was also impacted with the mindset of if you see something wrong, do something about it and we really set that in place during construction when we fixed a road that was previously messed up. We didn’t just go around it and wait for someone else to fix it, but we got to be a part of taking charge and bettering the community.
