Taking into considerations Jesus’s great commission commandment. We traveled to Nicaragua, one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere, to share the love of Christ. There were many moments that moved us. Each day, we went on prayer walks, visiting homes to encourage and pray with families. We also led worship and devotionals in microchurches—small gatherings in homes like those shown in the pictures—where we shared the Word of God. At the only hospital in town, we prayed over many sick individuals. One encounter that deeply moved me was meeting a 12-year-old boy, alone on a stretcher, with no family by his side. When I asked if he had ever heard of Jesus, he simply said, “No.” I had the honor of sharing the Good News with him for the very first time. Another unforgettable moment was visiting a dump site where families live with their children. Despite unimaginable poverty, they radiated faith and joy in the Lord. Their circumstances were difficult, but their spirits were unshaken. Lastly, we spent time with children—dancing, worshiping, and praying together. When we asked, “Who wants to pray?”, every child eagerly raised their hand, excited to talk to God. Lives were touched, hope was restored, and the Gospel was shared.
But this mission wasn’t just about what we gave—we were changed too. We returned home filled with joy, humbled by what we witnessed, and encouraged by the faith of those we met.
Please pray for the seeds of faith planted in Nicaragua to grow and bear fruit, for the families in extreme poverty, that they may receive both spiritual and physical provision, for the local microchurches to continue making disciples, and for the hospital patients, especially children like the 12-year-old boy, to find healing and hope in Christ.
